Trussardi and Bellonzi sound no less enthusiastic driving a full quintet/sextet on "Vendredi 14". The full group isn't always used. "True Sardi" is an uptelmpo rhythm section feature with a rippling solo by Hutman. "Ask me now" is a feature for overdubbed piccolo bass. Saxophonist Marc Thomas has a burly, rough-hewn sound on tenor and a similar sound on soprano which serves him well on "Au planing". His vocal on "I didn't know what time it was" are expendable.Singer Anne Ducros has a horn-like delivery and is an intrepid improvisor. Check out her scat chorus on "Be bop a Lolo". This is solid, mainstream bop-based music which should satisfy listeners of the genre.
